We booked a 1st class sleeper cabin, the cabin itself was okay. However, the AC couldnt have been turned off so it was freezing cold on the top bed. The worst was that the AC was blowing this mouldy air into the cabin. I still have a sore throat. The wc was dirty but we expected this, it was not a surprise, there was no toiletpaper, which i would expect on the 1st class.
The train was ca. 10 minutes late, so it was okay.
Everything was perfect! In time departure and arrival, clean bathroom, luxurious car with snacks. Would highly recommend this and spending a few bucks more was the right call for me personally. Slept like a baby. Bring ear protection to ensure good sleep, but this is to be expected on a train.
Comfortable journey in a first class cabin with good beds to sleep some hours. Friendly staff. Can recommend taking the train (with first class beds, 4 people per cabin).
We were called by the train company over whats app, if we boarded the train. Afterwards, a train worker brought us our printed tickets to the cabin - really sweet. The train was old, but tidy. Aircon worked, toilets as well. We had one hour delay.
The train is dirty (there was a cockroach walking on the wall of my bed), the cabin is always out of number because even if there’s just 6 beds, they will put more people inside. The bed on the top is cold as hell because of the air conditioning, and in our case it smell so much as cigarette smoke. It’s impossible to sit because there’s no space, and is full of people outside doing a lot of noise. Almost all the stuff is rude and it will treat you really different compared to Vietnamese. Only good points in that was on time and that luckily the people in the cabin with us were not so bad.
The train itself was comfortable and everything ran on time. The young woman at Mango was very professional and helpful, especially since we were not given tickets through the 12GO app. She had to make an exception. Also, we had to walk around the train station with our luggage because the official train employees obviously did not like us. We couldn't understand the language, but they shouted angrily and sent us a circuitous route. We are worried because we are taking another train tonight and we have not received our tickets; only a voucher, just like last time.
The overall experience would have been good however for an unscrupulous train porter. We booked last minute and unfortunately had to get separate cabins. This was fine. In the cabin my girlfriend stayed
