Sapa to Hanoi Destination Reviews

BR
Actually, the bus itself is decent — it even has a toilet — but the service from the staff was seriously lacking. Just a heads-up: this bus is affiliated with Sao Viet, and the whole experience raised a lot of red flags. It started with the receptionist being really unfriendly, and the bus staff were also rude and aggressive. One of them opened my bag without asking, just to check if I had food. Apparently, food isn’t allowed on board — which I didn’t know, because the previous bus I took via Klook did allow it. Then, one of the staff members kept yelling in Vietnamese, which I couldn’t understand at all. Since the bus has a toilet, there were no official rest stops. However, the bus did stop at several Sao Viet branches, probably around 7 locations, for about 15 minutes each — I guess they also handle document delivery at those branches. So what was supposed to be a 6-hour journey turned into over 7 hours. In the end, we were dropped off at a different location than promised, and everything felt super rushed. Also, take note: foreigners are only allowed to sleep on the upper berths. The lower ones are apparently reserved for locals only. Very odd and disappointing.
